This policy covers this website, seamlessgutterslayers.com, and our holiday lighting site, holiday.seamlessgutterslayers.com, plus calls, texts, WhatsApp messages and emails you send us.
What we collect and why
- Estimate and contact form: your name, phone, email, property address and zip code, the service you need, how you want us to contact you, how you want Eli to see your home, and any photos you choose to send. We use them to answer you, give you an estimate, schedule and do the job, and handle any warranty claim.
- Walk-around videos: if you upload a video of your home for the estimate, it is stored privately on our web host (not on any public page). Only Eli gets a download link, in the email with your request, and the video is deleted after 60 days.
- Address suggestions and satellite view: if the form offers address suggestions or a satellite map of your home, those come from Google, and the address you type is sent to Google to provide them. If we switch on Google's address check, our server also sends the address to Google to confirm it exists. The point on the map is sent with your request so Eli can look at the roof from above.
- Holiday lighting quote form (holiday.seamlessgutterslayers.com): your name, phone and/or email, the property's street address and town, whether it is a home or a business, the number of stories, roofline length if you know it, the package and what you would like lit, your preferred install window, whether the home is in an HOA, any message, and your agreement that we may contact you about the request. We use them to prepare your quote and design and to schedule the install and takedown.
- Document requests (for example, our insurance certificate): what you put in your email or message, such as your name, company and where to send it, so Eli can send you the document.
- Job applicant skills test (Opportunities page): your name, email, phone, your test answers and how long you took, to consider you for work.
- Messages: texts, emails, WhatsApp messages and calls you send us about your job.
- Payments: online card payment is not available yet. The Make a Payment page only shows how to reach us, and we arrange payment with you directly. We do not collect card numbers on these websites. If we add online payment later, card details will go to the payment processor, not to us, and we will update this policy first.
- Website logs and spam protection: our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security. To limit repeated submissions, our servers keep a one-way-hashed record of the sending network address: on this site for about an hour, and on the holiday site for up to 24 hours. We don't use advertising cookies or advertising pixels. Your browser may remember which service area you picked, and whether you opted out of analytics, on your own device only.
- Website analytics: both sites use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to count visits and see which pages help people. It records the pages you view, your device and browser type, the site that sent you, and an approximate location that Google works out from your IP address. It also records a few actions: that an estimate or quote request was sent successfully (with only the form and the type of service or package picked), and that a call, WhatsApp or email link was tapped (with only where on the page the link was). It never receives what you type into a form: no names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, messages or photos, and we remove any extra details from page addresses before they are sent. Google Analytics sets its own cookies on these sites to tell visits apart. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and analytics data is not used for advertising. Google keeps the event data for 14 months, then deletes it. Google processes this data under Google's privacy policy.
Where it goes
The estimate form and the holiday lighting quote form send your request through our websites, which are hosted by Bluehost, to Eli's email. Both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the form is being filled in by a person and not a bot; Turnstile processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details under Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy. Walk-around videos are uploaded to our web host, Bluehost, and kept in a private folder there. Our other forms don't send anything through this website; each one opens your own email app (or WhatsApp) with a message to Eli. We use Google Workspace for email, and Google Analytics 4 for visit statistics (see above).
WhatsApp is a service of Meta. Our WhatsApp links pass through our website so the number is not published for spammers, then open WhatsApp; your messages there are subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
We don't sell or share your information for advertising. We share it only with the service providers above, with a supplier or helper who needs it to do your job (for example, the address of the job), or when the law requires it.
Marketing messages
We do not send marketing texts or emails unless you ask for them. Messages about your request or your job are not marketing. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, and use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
How long we keep it
- Estimate and quote requests that don't become a job: up to 2 years after we last talk.
- Walk-around videos on our web host: deleted after 60 days.
- Job applicant details: up to 1 year.
- Google Analytics event data: 14 months, then Google deletes it.
Then we delete them.
Security
Our websites use encrypted connections (https), form settings and uploaded videos are kept outside the public part of the websites, and only Eli receives your requests. No system is perfectly secure. If personal information about you is ever taken in a way that requires notice under Tennessee law, we will tell you as that law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email eli@seamlessgutterslayers.com, and we'll answer within 30 days. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
Analytics opt-out: use the "Analytics: opt out" link at the bottom of any page (it is saved in your browser for that site, so use it on each of our two sites; "opt back in" undoes it). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load Google Analytics at all. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser. Opting out does not affect the forms.
Children
These sites are for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new date here.
